Guilherme Paulus has been successful in founding and leading several companies to success. He has recently become a billionaire and his net worth is approximately 1.1 billion. His secret for success is to love the customer.

Guilherme Paulus founded the CVC travel agency in 1972 with his business partner Carlos Vicente Cerchiari. Carlos left the business venture only four years after the initial founding and sold his shares in the company to Guilherme Paulus. Guilherme was still able to lead the CVC travel agency to becoming the largest tourist operator in all of Latin America. They now have ambitions on becoming the largest in the world. In 2009, Guilherme sold a part of the company to the global investment firm, the Carlyle Group. The CVC travel agency is now able to generate an annual revenue of approximately $5.2 billion. This was only his first business venture.

In 2005, he founded the GJP Hotels and Resorts network. Guilherme started the GJP network with only one establishment. It is now known as one of the largest national hotel chains that specializes in leisure, tourism, and events. The GJP network is in control of 19 hotels all throughout the country of Brazil. It has 7 hotels in the South region of Brazil, 5 hotels in the Southeast region, and 7 more on the Northeast region. The GJP Hotels and Resorts network has had much success due to its philosophy of always focusing on the quality of customer service.

Guilherme moved on into the airline industry after that. In 2006, Guilherme acquired the Webjet airline. The airline was small and had only one aircraft in its fleet at the time of its acquisition. Guilherme managed to transform the tiny airline into the third largest airline that operates in Brazil. Webjet now has 20 aircraft in its fleet. Guilherme sold Webjet airlines to Gol in 2011.
